Stoke City have this evening released our new away kit which will be worn for the 2009/10 season via the clubs official website, the official release coming two weeks earlier than planned, after an administrative error meant pictures of the kit were posted on the website accidentally earlier today, in a cock up of epic proportions. After a photo of this seasons yellow change kit was leaked onto the internet a year ago, this is the second consecutive season that the away kit launch has been brought forward in similar circumstances.Stoke forward Ricardo Fuller models the new shirt, and the image that was laughably accidentally posted on Patrick Peterson Jersey the official website earlier today Theshirt, shorts and socksare all in black, a colour popular with Stoke fans after it was used in 2005/06, andare complimented by trimsin the Pottershistoric red and white colours. The shirt also features a large, traditional collar, and presumably a whole host of features to help the players skin breathe properly. The early release also clears up the i sue of who will manufacture Stoke kits next season, with French brand Le Coq Sportif maintaining their position, despite rumours that the club were looking to replace them I for one, am delighted with the new kit. The black and red colouring is far more distinguished and stylish than the yellow and blue of this seasons away kit, which some say is cursed, while Im particularly pleased about the proper, open collar, which in my opinion is aesthetically more pleasing than the tighter, closed variety favoured on most modern football shirts, and makes the shirt that bit more wearable for the fan.
